Damage from a Major Escape of Water

Article posted on 12 November 2015

The Cause of the Damage

The client, Mr Smyth from Cambridgeshire, contacted National Home Repairs after discovering a major escape of water which had damaged a bespoke sofa.

What We Did

National Home Repairs visited the site and assessed the damage. The appropriate drying equipment was brought in, and furniture and other contents were moved into storage.

The escape of water had caused irreversible damage to the sofa, so National Home Repairs called upon specialist furniture restorers who sourced the fabric and had it custom quilted to re-cover the sofa, in order to match the original.

Once the property was suitably dried out, the property was redecorated and the contents that were in storage were bought back at the client’s convenience.
