Repairing Damage from a Water Leak
Article posted on 09 November 2015
The Cause of the Damage
The client, Mr Flindall from Nottingham, contacted National Home Repairs after
discovering water damage from a leaking pipe in the upstairs bathroom.
What We Did
National Home Repairs visited the site, and quickly located and repaired the leak to ensure no further damage could occur. We then compiled a scope of works to rectify the damage, which was agreed by the loss adjuster.
Once agreed with the Loss Adjuster, National Home Repairs quickly organised the complete rip-out and re-instatement of the bathroom, including bathroom layout changes, along with fitting joists and a new ceiling for the ground floor kitchen which had also been affected by the escape of water.
The Outcome
We left the client very happy with no evidence of any water damage, and a newly decorated bathroom and kitchen.
Testimonial:
Hi Kevin,
I would like to say a massive thank you to you and the team for the work you recently completed at my house.
This was no easy job!
You were all professional, punctual, and down to earth. More importantly you cleaned up after yourselves every day.
The project involved totally ripping out and fitting a new walk in shower enclosure which caused its own problems due to the size of the room.
You also fitted a new ceiling, joists etc to the kitchen after recent water damage.
I found you very honest, and will have no problems in recommending you to potential clients going forward.
Thanks again.
