Case Studies - Burst Water Tank

Cause-

This was a tenanted house that suffered a burst 50 gallon tank in the loft. Instructions came from the landlord via their letting agent.

Mains water ran through the house undetected for 2 days. The damage was extensive and affected all of the rooms on the first and ground floor, water even found its way into the external brick cavities.

Outcome -

After making the property safe and testing for asbestos in the collapsed ceilings, all the internal partitions, ceilings and floors were removed before drying commenced. Once dry a full refit of the property took 6 weeks to complete.
